Iran film to vie in Czech

Iran 'Forty Baldies' is to compete at Zlin Film festival for Children and Youth in the Czech Republic.

Directed by Sadegh Sadegh-Daghighi, the flick will compete with 7 other movies from the US, Canada, the UK, Uruguay and Germany at the International Competition of Feature Films for Youth.

The film is about a teenager whose father is an Iraq-Iran war veteran. The father and son's relationship is the major theme of the film story.

The teenage star of the film has been awarded Best Teen Actor at the International Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran.

Notable among the cast are Pejman Bazeghi, Reza Naji, Maryam Bobani and Parham Deldar.

Founded in 1961, Zlin Children and Youth Film Festival is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world.  The festival is an active member of the European Children's Film Association.

The 2018 edition of the event is slated for May 25-June 2, 2018 in Zlin, The Czech Republic.
